REFERENCES ARE TAKEN FROM A PROJECT COMPLETED EARLIER IN 1992 WHERE CONVEYOR EFFICIENCY WAS ESTIMATED USING SIMULATION. IMPROVING CONVEYOR EFFICIENCIES WAS SHOWN TO PROVIDE BETTER OPPORTUNITY FOR INCREASING LINE THROUGHPUT THAN IMPROVING MACHINE RELIABILITIES.
