The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Homeland Security Research Center, working with laboratories and subject matter experts (SMEs), recently completed optimization andsingle-laboratory verification of a culture-based method for E. coli O157:H7 in environmental matrices (e.g., drinking water, surface water).
