This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of a project to develop the conceptual design for the new Fullerton 120 mgd Water Treatment Plant for the city of Baltimore. Objectives include the following: capture long-term raw water quality changes; compare treatment technologies for iron and manganese control, taste and odor control, particulate removal, and organic carbon/disinfection byproduct (DBP) precursor removal; and, identify process design criteria for developing conceptual site layouts and cost estimates. Design phase considerations are presented, along with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) integration, information management, process technologies considered, operations and maintenance, and the incorporation of pilot data into full-scale design criteria. Includes figure.
