  • Conference Proceeding by American Water Works Association, 11/01/2005
  • Publisher: AWWA

This slide presentation outlines information on the bromamine breakpoint curve in solutions of pure bromide and in natural waters in terms of: backgroundinitial observations;experimental methods; and, results(speciation, kinetics, breakpoint curves). Conclusions included: trends with Br and NOM are confirmed;presence of strong oxidant at low ratios + Br;reduces peak residual concentrations;transition to i- and tri-species is faster; and, ammonia removal occurs at lower ratios.
