This slide presentation outlines information on pilot testing conventional and membrane treatments at a treatment plant on the Ohio River. Goals and objectives of the pilot study included: improving coagulation, pH stability and sedimentation processes related to water quality and regulatory issues; restoring the plant to its original 60 MGD capacity; maximizing utilization of limited available space; and, improving pre-filtration tubidity. The conventional pilot study and the membrane filtration study are both discussed in terms of performance and cost.
