This paper evaluates the effectiveness of several corrosion control strategies on water quality in the Halifax Regional distribution system. In particular, the corrosion control strategies under investigation are lime addition, polyphosphate addition and pH adjustment, which were evaluated using pipe sections taken from the Halifax Regional distribution system. The effect hydraulic retention time had on corrosion was also examined. Includes 12 references, tables, figures.
