Tucson Water's workload has been increasing in size and complexity for several years, growing to the point where the laboratory was becoming unable to successfully meet commitments and regulatory requirements. A large part of the problem has been addressed by implementation of a LIMS, including several customized programs to handle sample scheduling, QA/QC, and microbiological benchsheets. It is Tucson Water's expectation that the LIMS will enable the lab to better meet increasing requirements while minimizing staff increases.
