The National Training Coalition (NTC) was established in 1990 to help state primacy agencies and training organizations work cooperatively to ensure effective implementation of new Federal drinking water regulations. The original members of the Coalition included the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The National Environmental Training Association (NETA), the National Rural Water Association (NRWA), and the Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) were late invited to join the coalition t augment the training organizations at the national level. The goal of the Coalition is to work together at the national level to examine existing public water supply training activities and recommend a strategy for improving the coordination, development, and delivery of SDWA compliance training at the national and state level.
