This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the WaterSense Program, a voluntary partnership and labeling program launched by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in 2006. WaterSense labeled fixtures are presented, along with progress to date with manufacturers promoting WaterSense labeled products, partnering for a shared goal, and collaborating for water efficiency. An example is provided of promoting WaterSense labeled toilets called the Greater Gallatin Toilet Trade Out (G2T2) in Bozeman, Montana, along with a second example called theGeorgia Sales Tax Holiday where drought during 2007-2008 in the southeastern U.S. and the current economic climate provided the impetus for Georgia to institute its inaugural Sales Tax Holiday. A third example is presented, called Fix a Leak Week, promoted by WaterSense partners to remind homeowners to check theirhomes and irrigation systems for leaks. Additional partner coordinationand activities are listed, along with collaboration opportunities for new homes, and partner resources. Includes table.
