This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of a non-revenue water (NRW) abatement program where HDR and M.E. Simpson were contracted to perform aleak detection survey of the distribution system. Low NRW amounts were found in the leak detection survey and a large meter testing pilot study was conducted. Pilot test conclusions indicated that: implementing a large meter testing program projectedrecapturing to $3.4M/year in revenue; NRW lowered to approximately 11.5%; and, 1 - 16" turbine meter was replaced immediately andresulted in a $34,000/month revenue increase which was enough revenue recovered to finance a meter testingprogram. Includes figures.
