This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW), with special focus on the Tennyson Pump Station and the issue of inconsistency with pumping 100 MGD. Hydraulic transient analysis was performed, and an attempt was made to bring all 6 pumps online under the following two scenarios: Scenario 1 - start EH pumps under normal conditions andbring CS pumps online by manually isolating all the primeto the pump and bleed air from casing, keeping cone checkclosed until adequate pressure is developed and then openvalve; and, Scenario 2 - have EH pumps running and bring CS pumpson during "normal" operation (i.e., normal priming conditionand no air relief from casing) except cone check valve heldclosed until adequate pressure reached.
