$12.00$24.00

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the implementation process that included: pilot protocol and testing; design development; 5 sets of bidding documents; 5 construction/procurement contracts; construction; and start-up to city operations, April 2007 - April 2008. Success was measured by Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) compliance, ammonia removal, and iron and manganese removal. Facility design concept included membrane softening and biofiltration, and start-up challenges are listed for both biofilters and reverse osmosis machines. DO monitoring and control is presented, along with biofilter backwashing, iron fouling causes/solutions, and qualitative results. Includes figures.
