Laboratory testing was performed on aged pipes in order to characterize the relationshipbetween reduced pipe diameter and Hazen-Williams C. Tests included physical hydraulicmeasurements performed in a laboratory setting as well as computational fluid dynamics (CFD)modeling. The results of the physical testing and the CFD modeling were then applied to anetwork model using EPANET 2. The network modeling application demonstrates themagnitude and types of errors that can be introduced into a network model by ignoring possiblechanges in the flow area of aged pipes. Includes 15 references, tables, figures.
