This powerpoint presentation presents the following information: kinetic models provide more cost design andoperation compared to EEO; seasonally varying water quality has significantimpacts on contaminant removals with ultraviolet (UV) Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP); target contaminant removal can be achieved with different combinations of UV and hydrogen peroxide doses; optimum combination of UV and hydrogen peroxide dose varies over the year as UVT and scavenger demand varies; optimized UV and peroxide dosing significantly reduces UV AOP costs; and, simulation tools, such as UVCAT, can provide a comprehensive justification for selecting UV AOP. Includes figures.
