This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of secondary or dual water systems and metering of secondary water systems. Several approaches to metering are presented, including: centralized filtration; individual connection filters; and, innovative meter design. Important considerations are presented for economic feasibility and social and political implications. Presentation conclusions indicate that: current operations of most secondary watersystems are not conservation-friendly;most meter types are unable to function insecondary systems;by using innovative meter design orfiltration, metering is a possibility; and,an economic analysis should be made beforeinstalling meters on a secondary system.
