This powerpoint presentation presents a study on the use of a sandwich immunoassay to detect C. parvum. Experiments demonstrated that the enhancement effect ofRBITC increases with increasing gold particle diametersbetween 14 and 50 nm. A proof of concept experiment was conducted todemonstrate that the immunogold can be used as adetection technique for C. parvum. An X-Y sample stage was employed to map Ramanspectra on the surface of the membrane filter. Immunofilters can simultaneously capture andconcentrate antigens of interest. Future work includes the expansion of this assay to amulti-pathogen detection technique. Numerous Raman active dyes exist with their owndistinctive Raman fingerprints. Includes figures.
