Water conservation is an important part of preserving Florida's precious water resourcesand the environment. Educational programs play a significant role in communicating theconservation message and helping to change behavior. The demand for water by Orange County's growing population and the need for infrastructure to support that growth hasled us to develop programs for elementary, middle and high school students to ensurethat water resources can be enjoyed today and by future generations. This paper discusses several of those programs that include: the Blue Thumb? Jr. Detective Water Conservation Program; Billy the Water Drop; Touring the Water Facts; Tap into the Water Industry; and, Methodology for Tracking Water Saving.
