This slide presentation presents information on a saturation study of residential plumbing fixtures. Study objectives included: testing the hypothesis that households in Orange County, California, have achieved the 75% saturation goal in BMP 2: Plumbing Fixture Retrofits; and, developing a representative profile of indoor water using devices found in the typical Orange County home. The saturation study format consisted of: focusing primarily on pre-1992 housing stock due to the 1992 Energy Policy Act; a total of 800 in residence surveys targeted for the study participation sample; and, using the California Department of Finance Single- vs Multi-family home designation. Devices evaluated were: persons per dwelling unit; showerheads per dwelling unit; bathrooms per dwelling unit; presence of clothes washers and dish washers in unit or on site; and, toilets per dwelling unit.
