This publication (on CD) is a joint effort by the global automotive supply chain to set guidelines addressing the product data quality issues. Product data in this publication refers not only to CAD data but also Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Product Data Management (PDM). This is a joint effort published in cooperation with JAMA-Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, VDA (Germany), GALIA (France), JAPIA-Japan Automobile Parts Industries Association and Odette-Sweden. This Document covers in detail introductory and background material that frames the product data quality problem, specific product data quality criteria for users and provides information and methods that will help improve product data quality.
